Cranberry Bog. 100 yards off the north shore of Buckeye Lake, just west of Cranberry Point, you can only access the bog with a permit due to the fragile nature of the bog mat. The island at the middle is accessible only by boat, though a boardwalk is present as. And there’s an open house in June at the time of the orchids’ blooming. You don’t want to miss that. Fishing Resources. Hebron Fish Hatchery can be found just north of Buckeye Lake State Park. This area is open to the public and they can enjoy the ponds, trails, woodlots, and bird-watching opportunities. Over 250 species of birds have been recorded at the hatchery. Buckeyelakestatepark.com [Top]
